To support this academic track, and to provide learning opportunities in computer literacy, Bird Street has a 10-seat computer lab using up-to-date computers and internet access.
Our new lab, provided by a generous grant from the Amelia Peabody Foundation, includes Dell computers using Microsoft Windows and a high-speed connection to the internet.
Microsoft Office is available on these computers for word processing, spreadsheets, and database design. In addition, there is other software including;
Adobe Photoshop for image editing and production
Adobe Dreamweaver for web page design and production
Adobe Flash for web images and animation
Blender, an open-source 3d design and animation system
Additional software, including more advanced publication, animation and image processing systems, is available on selected workstations or by request.
Classes and one-on-one tutoring in computer literacy, web design, and graphics are available at the lab.
