Our Vision: By teaching and nurturing youth leaders and by involving them in philanthropy, leadership and civic engagement, there is a direct impact on the community and on the future leaders of our City.

Our Mission: This mission is to teach, nurture, and challenge our youth leaders to become change agents today and the adult leaders of tomorrow, so that our neighborhoods become places of peace and prosperity.

What are the objectives of UCYC?
The objectives are to provide youth, ages 15-19 with skills and tools to make a lasting impact on the community.

Members of the Youth Council participate in extensive trainings and workshops in order to make effective decisions that will in turn affect the lives of their peers, in the form of new programs and increased awareness of issues youth in Boston face on a daily basis. Members examine and evaluate the contribution of youth to the various sectors of development in the light of community needs and priorities.  They also research issues which need youth advocates and support.

Who can become a member of UCYC?
