The Homework Room provides youth with a quiet place to complete homework and obtain help they need. The Homework Room is open Monday through Friday, under the coordination of Patrick Pingeton. Youth who participate regularly receive monthly incentives like pizza parties or prizes, and Bird Street recognizes Homework Heroes every spring. Mr. Pingeton works with school administrators, guidance departments, and families to insure that academic support is maximized.

We provide daily homework support and one-on-one tutoring Monday through Friday, 2-6 PM.  Our volunteer tutors are college students from Boston College, Suffolk University, Northeastern University and other higher education institutions.
MCAS and SAT Prep are offered Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6-8pm and Saturdays 10am-12pm.  Any member needing additional assistance with standardized testing can speak with the Homework Room Coordinator to set up additional class sessions.
